Jeanne Warner awarded AGC Gretta Prince Cachepot Prize 2023
Jeanne Warner, of Keene Valley and New York City, NY, and a cherished member of the Adirondack Garden Club since 2015, operates silently behind the scenes, masterfully navigating the intricate waters of our finances. Her adept handling of funds has rendered our money matters nearly invisible, smoothly executed with precision that leaves no room for error.
With a storied background at Chase Bank in the bustling heart of New York City, Jeanne brought her financial expertise into our club's fold. Her seasoned skills have kept our accounts in perfect harmony, always balancing to perfection.
But Jeanne's contributions extend far beyond the realm of finance. She wears another hat with grace and dedication as she oversees the 1928 Founders Fund Grant Committee, ensuring that the legacy of our club's founders lives on through meaningful contributions to our community.
Beyond the numbers, Jeanne's heart finds solace in the nurturing embrace of her beautiful perennial and vegetable garden. Her passion for gardening blossoms as vividly as the flowers in her Keene Valley garden, and her knowledge of horticulture is nothing short of impressive.
In her second passion, horticulture, Jeanne has proven to be an active and engaged member. Her expertise enriches our club's horticultural endeavors, making her a valuable resource for all members.
Jeanne Warner, a true silent force within our club, is a testament to the invaluable contributions that often go unnoticed. Her financial acumen, dedication to the club's mission, and unwavering commitment to her passions in gardening and horticulture make her an exemplary member and a source of inspiration for us all.
The Gretta Prince Memorial GCA Cachepot, established in 1993 by Happy Marsh in honor of her mother, is given annually to a member recognizing significant contributions to the Club. The members of the Adirondack Garden Club are honored to present this award to you, Jeanne, with deep gratitude for all you have done through the years.
